The End of the End. Of the Beginning. Or something...

Okay, this is just silly now.

I'm putting fragments on an indefinite hold for now, I currently have zero downloads on every version. What's the point in a project that was made to let people have fun if there's no one to enjoy it?

I'm shutting down the project unless someone speaks up and doesn't want it to die. I'll leave all the files up and the blog will stay, maybe someone with better skills will learn from my mistakes and make a better game.

As a parting gift I'll leave the Chapter 1 of the original story of fragments, before I made it into a game anyway. That can be found by clicking the Extra tab somewhere on the front page.

Have fun guys.

Version 0.02 is released!

Hey everyone! Just thought I should tell you, Fragments has now been updated to version 0.02. As always the download link has been updated for both the one on the sidebar and the one on the Fallout Equestria forums.

--Changelog for 0.02--

  • Giate now has a new quest for the player, it rewards quite a special reward and has a few different paths. It also unlocks a new area.
  • After completing Giate's quest the Everfree Forest becomes unlocked for exploration. Two new creatures are hiding inside.
  • A Quest Log is now available, just press type Q to have a look.
  • Some new items will randomly give out healing potions and weapons when used now.
  • I changed how navigating to a location works, now if a battle happens you will get to the location so long as you win the battle.

That's just about it for this update, aside from a few bug fixes. And remember, if there is anything you think should be added feel free to comment down below. Or if you find something that needs fixing feel free to shout at me about it!

It begins!!

Welcome to the first ever post on this blog!

Ever since I first read the original Fallout Equestria I wanted to add to the legacy... unfortunately while I had some (in my opinion) good ideas I'm not exactly the best writer in the world so I came up with a different approach. As a long time gamer I've always loved how games like Fallout manage to draw you into the story and make you part of the game and suddenly everything clicked in my head. If I combine both a game and a fanfic it could turn out really well! (It could also be crap but lets forget about that.)

And so...Fallout Equestria: Fragments was born, an open world text game featuring adventuring, exploration and combat. Not to mention the possibility of an interesting and complex story and hopefully a metric ton of side quests. While at the time of writing the game is only at version 0.01 I hope to expand it by the time I finally finish. (If that day ever comes)

Hopefully I will be able to add new and interesting stuff to the game with each update. These updates will occur on a probably regular basis, that is if people want the game to happen. Since I'm not sure whether people will like the game if you do want updates then tell me you do! Go! Comment as fast as your little fingers will move!

The game and an interpreter to run it can be found over on the right...somewhere.

If you find any problems with the game whether it be broken enemies, bugged out stuff or just spelling errors feel free to comment below.

Also if there's anything you think should be added then again just tell me with a comment! I'll consider whether it's possible first but I'm perfectly happy to take suggestions!
